The reimagined Soulgoods flagship in Beijing merges the brand’s bold design language with the street-culture aesthetic that defines the capital. Serving as a platform for collaborations with international designers, the store strengthens Soulgoods’ role within China’s emerging sneakerhead community, offering rare and exclusive collections.
Rooted in the belief that every product has a soul, anySCALE translated this ethos into a raw yet deliberate spatial identity. The front area remains open and flexible, featuring movable displays of rough-sawn wood and street-style stone flooring. Along the walls, products appear in recessed niches backed by graphic illustrations in a spirited, graffiti-inspired style. Overhead, a pitched roof—now a signature of Soulgoods’ latest stores—glows with RGB color panels that shift with the mood of parties or promotional events.
Toward the back, storage and fitting rooms sit behind a long orange counter framed by translucent glass bricks, which diffuse light to enlarge the space while balancing roughness with clarity. Across the store, utilitarian materials and handcrafted textures create the feeling of a working studio—where design, culture, and craftsmanship meet. Unpretentious yet meticulously detailed, the concept captures Soulgoods’ attitude: authentic, creative, and unmistakably urban.
