anySCALE’s 26th collaboration with SOHO for their 25th 3Q in China saw a new and unique take on the usual 3Q style. Just like Sanlitun itself, the ultra-dynamic spaces are dominated by a medley of themes and motifs. Design highlights include a sporty meeting room that features a real punching bag, perfect for blowing off pre or post-meeting stress, a dance club-themed room replete with dance imagery on the floor and walls, an old-timey style meeting room fitted with traditional furniture well as a wall decked out with giant Chinese Chess pieces. Classic posters from the 1950s-70s adorn the walls of another common area, with the black and white floor tiles adding a finishing touch of nostalgia. A key challenge was the narrow rooms left in due to building construction. These were converted into long meeting rooms using appropriate furnishings as well as an exercise area with aerial silks.The team also devised a warm and welcoming break room where occupants could eat meals instead of eating at their desks.
