Nobilia, Germany’s leading kitchen manufacturer, commissioned anySCALE to rethink the classic trade fair booth for CIFF Guangzhou 2022. Rather than simply displaying premium kitchen furniture, the stand is conceived as an immersive, home-like environment inspired by international-style open-plan living.
At its center lies a generous living–dining–kitchen zone, complemented by a separate dining room, master bedroom, walk-in closets, library, and tea and coffee lounges. A sculptural freestanding kitchen island forms the heart of the plan, from which visitors intuitively navigate the space.
Up to 700 mm thick freestanding wall elements define the layout, guiding movement while incorporating built-in furniture, shelving, and wardrobe displays. Above, a suspended field of fabric fins suggests a unifying, roof-like plane. The booth is wrapped in a lightweight fabric façade with three key openings—entrance, exit, and a window framing the elevated tea lounge—while a low-resolution LED installation along the main corridor offers a dynamic preview of the interior.
Sustainability underpins the concept: a prefabricated metal frame system, clad in white stretch fabric, minimizes on-site construction and waste and allows the steel structure to be reused for future exhibitions.
