Designing Nobilia’s first bathroom-only exhibition posed a particular challenge for anySCALE: how to present multiple themed bathrooms—each with its own colors, materials, and textures—within a single coherent brand space. The solution was a layout with clearly articulated transitions between rooms, yet an open, inviting atmosphere, anchored by a white tonal world that reflects both clarity and Nobilia’s corporate image.
Across 170 square meters, the booth showcases eight distinct bathroom settings, each tailored to an imagined user profile—from a dynamic female leader to a tranquil Wabi-Sabi devotee, and playful family scenarios for young children. Conceived as an open, modular framework of square metal profiles, the structure reads as a generous, permeable grid.
Columns and beams trace the boundaries of each unit, hinting at bathroom volumes through structural lines rather than closed partitions. Within this framework, half-height freestanding walls—finished in tile, plaster, paint, and wood—stage the furniture and fixtures. Floor inlays bring measured accents of color, helping visitors read and differentiate each space while preserving room for personal interpretation.
The collage-like composition of walls is unified by a layer of stretched fabric tensioned within the frames. Acting as a visual filter, this textile skin gently separates the booth from the surrounding fair, offering fleeting glimpses into the interior, sparking curiosity and inviting exploration.
