The twin-tower lobby of Zhongshan Plaza has recently undergone a comprehensive upgrade to its public waiting and meeting areas. anySCALE’s design introduces a series of sculptural, bone-shaped seating islands that respond to the grand scale of the lobby space. Their organic form softens the existing architectural environment, which is characterized by natural stone finishes, a glass curtain wall, and metallic detailing.
The waiting lounges are positioned between the columns along the glass façade, offering guests a sequence of intimate seating zones with views to the exterior. Upholstered seats in alternating arrangements create variety and rhythm, complemented by linear bar-height benches and tables placed along the central core wall. Each lounge features a refined material palette of wood veneer bases, bespoke seat cushions, and integrated floor lamps—elements that lend both warmth and visual identity to the renewed public space.
