CR Land, a long-term client of anySCALE, once again commissioned the architecture and design firm to transform the clubhouse of its sister company CR Snow into a contemporary co-working space for employees. The client wished to preserve the original hotel-inspired atmosphere and beer culture of the former Snow Beer office, so the two iconic central copper beer stills were retained as visual anchors, while the remaining two floors were completely reconfigured.
The greatest design challenge lay in introducing sufficient natural light — a factor proven to have a profound impact on employees’ mood and productivity. The original building had almost no exterior windows, which limited daylight penetration. To overcome this, a section of the second-floor slab was opened and fitted with a skylight, allowing daylight to cascade through the space.
In areas beyond the reach of natural light, a custom-designed daylight simulation system was integrated into the walls. This adaptive LED installation automatically adjusts to the position of the sun and changes in color temperature throughout the day, creating a dynamic, floor-to-ceiling illumination that replicates the rhythm of natural light — enhancing both visual comfort and spatial vitality.
